  • Instill Confidence

    • Don’t let your kids fear the Internet, just educate them so that they can confidently navigate it.

  • Preach Healthy Skepticism

    • Nowadays, it is hard to discern between what is good or true news/information and what is a scam or an advertisement. Teach them to question what they see.

  • Practice What You Preach

    • Practice good online hygiene yourself, so that you can lead by example.

  • Teach Kids about the Permanence of Online Information

    • “if you can’t share it with your parents, it’s probably not something you want to put online. “ Let them know that you can’t put the genie back in the bottle, so they should be very careful as to what they share online.
