DAN MCCOWN

Dan McCown, co-founder of NetAscendant Solutions, has worked in the I.T. industry since 2005, beginning as a Network Engineer in San Angelo, TX and Lubbock, TX. He has broad experience in information technology with an expertise in general computer/network support, software development/scripting (Delphi, C++, C#, PowerShell and Microsoft SQL), network architecture, and management. Prior to founding NetAscendant Solutions in 2017, he was at Key Energy Services in Midland, TX for five years where he managed a large team responsible for the company’s I.T. infrastructure including the oversight of multiple datacenters and numerous branch locations.

Dan spent most of his school-age years in Robert Lee, Texas. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a supporting concentration in Business from Angelo State University in 2003. He later earned a Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University in 2009. In addition, he has earned numerous certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, Amazon AWS, CompTIA and the Project Management Institute.

Dan and his wife and children have lived in the Midland area since 2006.

JACK COHLMIA

Jack Cohlmia is a native of West Texas and co-founder of NetAscendant Solutions, a managed I.T. services provider based in Midland, TX.

Jack began his I.T. career in 1998 as a Y2K programmer in Plano, TX. He has held varied roles in I.T. such as network engineer, application support analyst, business intelligence developer, sales engineer, manager, director, and owner. The bulk of his corporate career was spent at Key Energy Services where he oversaw the majority of the I.T. function for the publicly traded company.

In 2017, Jack and Dan McCown founded NetAscendant Solutions with the intent of utilizing their knowledge and experience to provide excellent I.T. service to companies in the Permian Basin.

Jack is a 1993 graduate of Texas Tech University and has been a resident of Midland since 2003. He and his wife, Krista, a professor at Midland College, have two teenage boys.
